【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversrecommendedproceduresfortheuseofdosimeters,suchasthermoluminescentdosimeters(TLD''s),todeterminetheabsorbeddoseinaregionofinterestwithinanelectronicdeviceirradiatedusingaCo-60source.Co-60sourcesarecommonlyusedfortheabsorbeddosetestingofsiliconelectronicdevices.Note18212;Thisabsorbed-dosetestingissometimescalled"totaldosetesting"todistinguishitfrom"doseratetesting."Note28212;Theeffectsofionizingradiationonsometypesofelectronicdevicesmaydependonboththeabsorbeddoseandtheabsorbeddoserate;thatis,theeffectsmaybedifferentifthedeviceisirradiatedtothesameabsorbed-doselevelatdifferentabsorbed-doserates.Absorbed-doserateeffectsarenotcoveredinthispracticebutshouldbeconsideredinradiationhardnesstesting.1.2Theprincipalpotentialerrorforthemeasurementofabsorbeddoseinelectronicdevicesarisesfromnon-equilibriumenergydepositioneffectsinthevicinityofmaterialinterfaces.1.3Informationisgivenaboutabsorbed-doseenhancementeffectsinthevicinityofmaterialinterfaces.ThesensitivityofsucheffectstolowenergycomponentsintheCo-60photonenergyspectrumisemphasized.1.4AbriefdescriptionisgivenoftypicalCo-60sourceswithspecialemphasisonthepresenceoflowenergycomponentsinthephotonenergyspectrumoutputfromsuchsources.1.5ProceduresaregivenforminimizingthelowenergycomponentsofthephotonenergyspectrumfromCo-60sources,usingfiltration.Theuseofafilterboxtoachievesuchfiltrationisrecommended.1.6Informationisgivenonabsorbed-doseenhancementeffectsthataredependentonthedeviceorientationwithrespecttotheCo-60source.1.7Theuseofspectrumfiltrationandappropriatedeviceorientationprovidesaradiationenvironmentwherebytheabsorbeddoseinthesensitiveregionofanelectronicdevicecanbecalculatedwithindefinederrorlimitswithoutdetailedknowledgeofeitherthedevicestructureorofthephotonenergyspectrumofthesource,andhence,withoutknowingthedetailsoftheabsorbed-doseenhancementeffects.1.8Therecommendationsofthispracticeareprimarilyapplicabletopiece-parttestingofelectronicdevices.Electroniccircuitboardandelectronicsystemtestingmayintroduceproblemsthatarenotadequatelytreatedbythemethodsrecommendedhere.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
